CCG

So, what is CCG? Well CCG is a little joke group that Bristow Richards, Henry Long, Sam Palmer, Gabbie Rhinehart, Charles Dylan Mactutus (Chuck), Gilmore Oliphant, Lizzie Francis, Griffin Davis (Foup), and I created during our cross country season which sadly ends this Saturday. If you haven't guessed already, CCG stands for the Cross Country Gang.
During practices not much goes on, but during Cross Country meets that a complete different story. Well that is not all true. At 6 o'clock in the morning no one is really awake to really do anything amusing, we usually just blare music through Foup's speaker which usually has one faulty battery. So, we have usually ask everyone on the bus at around 6:15 AM I they have batteries, waking everyone up and getting them slightly annoyed. Once we solve this problem we are usually at the race sight. We take everything off the bus and set up shop, a little tent which actually is huge compared to all the other teams with no tables or seats. So, we get to lie on comfortable roots and rocks. After about 2 minutes of being under the tent, most of us get really bored, so we go usually get and dance really awkwardly around Foup's tiny speakers getting weird looks from every parent, coach, and athlete on our team and others. After we get booed enough for our terrible dancing then we go exploring usually lead by the freshman pack, Chuck, Bristow, Henry, and me. This, by far, is the best part about our trips. One of the examples of our random findings is a giant cement pipe that runs under the road. Without any questions Chuck and Bristow run straight into it. About 5 minutes later they come out and tell us to get the speakers. So, we get the speakers and start listening to music in a random cement pipe. Eventually, the rest of the CCG find their way to the tunnel and once again we get weird looks from every parent, coach, and athlete. If you haven't noticed, we get a lot of weird looks, but we don't mind. After the exploring stage of our meet days then we have the race, which isn't the highlight of our day. After putting our bodies through torture for about 20 minutes we usually just lie down under our tent for the rest of the meet. This is about the average CCG Meet day, some are crazier so a little more chill.
